Make the cursor and text readable in a screen recording

Test at the size viewers will use

A sharp desktop preview can become hard to follow on a phone. Before recording the full walkthrough, make a short sample that includes a menu, a button click and a paragraph. Watch the saved file at a realistic viewing size, not only full screen on the monitor used to record it.

Change the workspace before pressing record

Increase the application’s text size or browser zoom where appropriate, then confirm important controls still fit. Hide unrelated tabs and private notifications. Do not crop so tightly that the next step opens outside the captured area. Keep the viewer’s attention on one task rather than making the cursor race between several windows.

Pause after the important click

Move deliberately, click once and give the result time to appear. A short pause can make a tutorial easier to follow than adding an explanation over a fast action. If the pointer is small or low contrast, review the operating system’s supported pointer settings. The available options depend on the device.

Inspect the exported sample

Check the actual saved video for readable text, visible clicks and accidental private content. A recorder preview is not a substitute for opening the output. These are preparation and review habits, not promises about Solivid’s resolution, automatic zoom, cursor effects or editing features. Keep the original sample until you have compared the final result.
