Send a screen recording the recipient can use
Give the clip a purpose
The recipient may not know which task the recording shows or what to do next. Write one sentence describing its purpose and requested action. A useful handoff gives context without forcing someone to watch twice to discover the question. Keep unrelated background outside the explanation.
Test the exported file
Open the saved file in the expected player where practical. Check the beginning, middle and end, and listen if audio matters. A successful preview does not prove the final download is complete. Keep the original until the handoff is confirmed.
Use a meaningful filename
Choose a descriptive name and version or date where helpful. Avoid private customer names or secrets in filenames. Put timestamps for important moments in the message. The error appears at 00:24 is more useful than a long filename listing every step.
Check access deliberately
When using a sharing service, choose the intended audience and verify permissions. Opening your own link does not prove a colleague can. Do not make a private recording public to avoid an access question. An approved excerpt may be enough if the full clip includes unrelated information.
Close the task, not just delivery
Ask for the decision the clip supports, not only confirmation a file arrived. Identify the current version if a new take replaces an old one. This is a sharing workflow, not a promise that Solivid hosts files, controls permissions or exports every format. Verify your actual file and sharing service.
